While Chanukah officially begins on Dec. 21, the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta will offer programs for weeks leading up to the festive eight-day celebration. Michael D. Wise, JCC CEO/executive director, said, "We are thrilled to offer our community these unique opportunities to celebrate Chanukah for weeks leading up to the festive holiday. These inclusive programs allow members of the community to come together and commemorate the significance of the Festival of Lights."
From Chanukah cooking and storytelling to creating Chanukah gifts, from Chanukah bingo to a teen Chanukah parade, there is something for everyone:
Dreidels & Donuts - A North Metro Chanukah Happening
Dec. 7, 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
JFGA North Metro Campus (3159 Royal Drive, Suite 330, Alpharetta)
Share the joy of Chanukah with your friends and family as we celebrate the Festival of Lights by playing Bingo for prizes, creating menorahs, a spinning dreidel contest for the entire family, listening to exciting stories, enjoying donuts and more.
Member fee: $10 per family. Non-members: $15 per family.

Shalom Baby Presents Chanukah for Little Hands

Join us for a creative Chanukah program for families with children 18 months and younger. Paint your own pottery and immortalize your child's handprints into a menorah for a most memorable Chanukah gift. Read books in The PJ Library story area, and preview the JCC pre-dance and crawlers/walkers gymnastic classes.
Member and non-member fee: First piece of pottery is free. Extra pieces of pottery are available for a nominal charge.

It's fun all day at the MJCCA's "Eight Days of Fun Wrapped into One" Family Fun Day! Come enjoy the inflatable twister and bounce houses, Chanukah-themed arts and crafts, treats and eats, storytelling, indoor swimming pool games, family DJ dance party, sing-a-long with Mr. Eric and Mr. Michael, crazy hair, face painting,p and more.
